Who Should Join?

Everybody is the short answer! Certainly those who love the ocean, seafood, life on this planet, island travel and easy money. If you know anyone that likes any of those they are a candidate for a free membership in the StarFish Organization. If you do not send them one of our blogs to refer them here to join, someone else will, and frankly it may as well be you earning the SandDollar$ and commissions from their online store purchases - right?

Our point here is we are addressing a global problem and it does not matter where you live or what you like, the oceans are in trouble, they need our help and everyone should at the very least, join to become more aware of the issues we will share - period!

Climate Change, whether or not you believe it is a real issue or not - it is a fact! We agree with most people that the issue is blown out of proportion and the fear tactics of doom and gloom only serve to drive people away from this important issue. But it is happening and it has happened many times before on this planet, so let's cut through the crap and understand that it will impact more than our weather, it will have a major impact on our coastlines, islands and coastal populations.

The oceans are rising ever so slowly, but rising none-the-less, its time we accept this fact and prepare for the impact it will have. Perhaps not in our lifetime, but certainly in our children's lifetime and their children's. Don't have any kids and therefore feel its not your problem? Wrong answer! The oceans are dying, we have over fished them to the point of extinction and Climate Change is an issues we ALL need to deal with in the future.

So, the question really is not Who Should Join?, but rather Why Wouldn't You Join and help us. Our job is to convince those who make an excuse not to join - find a reason to do so, and to find those people who care enough about the planet in general, but our oceans in particular to help spread the messages that need to be told. The ocean problems will not fix themselves, and we can forget our governments doing anything real to solve these problems.

It's up to us now, so let's get to work!
